Our teachers lead dynamic and interactive play-based classes that build children’s cognitive, social and physical skills. Our partners, Global Step Academy, operate the first online international school based in Japan. They strive to create to give an authentic international English education, offering English, Math, Programming, Engineering courses--even English taught through videogames!
We are looking for motivated teachers who can work from home and in class as well.
Duties:
teaching in class (~9 hours/wk)
teaching online (~15-25 hours/wk, part from home, partly from physical locations)
Typical Work week:
After to preparing for and teaching classes in the morning or afternoon, teachers will have a break and then teach online in the afternoons 1-2 days per week, and in the evenings 3-4 nights per week. Never more than 5 days working per week though though!
Location:
Nagoya: Sasashima Live, Aratama, Yagoto, Meieki
Workdays / Hours:
5 days a week including one weekend day
8 working hours per day
1-2 days/week finishing earlier (9-6pm) 3-4 days per week finishing late (1-10pm)
Expected Start Date:
March 13-28
** Teachers may be asked to go to another location for training and to cover for other teachers.
Training will take place at the Sashashima live locations
Holidays:
Either Saturday or Sunday and one weekday off (usually Monday), negotiable.
20+ Japanese National Holidays
6 paid holidays per year(available after 6 months)
6 sick days
6 Company holidays
Contract period:
1 year with a 3 month probationary period.
