Description

The English Language Education Council (ELEC) is currently seeking part-time instructors for its culture centre program.

Program Description:
-The culture centre program is a 34-week program running from May 2020 to March 2021 with breaks in August and at New Year’s.
-Classes are held at various locations in the Koto ward area.
-Lessons take place from Tuesday to Friday with morning classes generally scheduled from 10:30-12:00 and evening classes generally scheduled from 19:00-20:30.
-Class sizes range from 10 to 20 students.

Position Requirements:
-Applicants should have experience teaching groups of 10 to 20 learners.
-Applicants should have experience teaching adult learners.
-Applicants should have good attention to detail with administrative duties such as lesson record keeping and student reports.
-Applicants must hold an appropriate working visa.
-All program instructors are expected to be punctual and teach the entire course.


Compensation:
-5,250 yen per 90-minute lesson (inclusive of lesson preparation and record keeping)
-Travel costs are reimbursed.


Provisional course assignments are expected to take place in March. Associated orientations are scheduled for mid-April, prior to the program's commencement after Golden Week.
