Description

Kalmia School Inc. is urgently looking for an energetic, dedicated native English instructor who can teach Sunday morning classes!

Kalmia School was established in summer 2015 as a private-tutoring school to prepare students for JHS/HS/UNV entrance exams. Though a new establishment, we have successfully assisted over 100 students in being accepted by well-renowned schools.

Kalmia has an English program which consists of daytime adult classes and evening classes for young students, and the school is currently looking for an enthusiastic instructor who can take charge of Sunday adult classes starting on January 13, 2019. Classes are held 10:00-11:10 and 11:20-12:30, and each lesson consists of a 60-min. English-conversation session and a 10-min. Japanese commentary time. It is desirable that the instructor can take on the Japanese part as well, but it is not mandatory.

Adult classes are offered on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, primarily based on readily available textbooks. Evening classes are held on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, where a native instructor and a Japanese instructor work in a team to provide 40-plus-min. sessions in succession, focusing on speaking/writing and reading/grammar respectively. Through team teaching, these classes look to develop the four essential skills of reading, listening, speaking and writing in a coordinated manner. The maximum number of students in a class is 6 for both adult and evening classes, providing for a familiar setting conducive to active participation.

- Must be a native speaker whose mother tongue is English
