At NPO GLAD, we can give you the opportunity to experience these in addition to the warm and friendly support you need as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) in Kochi Prefecture.


This is an urgent position!

We have high school positions in Kochi Prefecture stsrting ASAP and as early as Sept 2. We'll help you with te process of moving quickly.

[About Us]:

Hi, We're NPO GLAD. We were founded by a group of former Japanese teachers with a vision to support the growth of global-minded students in Japan. GLAD stands for Global Learning Advancement Department.

Please note that we are a recruiting company helping a company find a great teacher.

[Position details]:

Contract term: ASAP – March 13, 2020

The placement will be in high schools, where the ALT will assist as a team teacher and help plan English lessons under a schedule created by NPO GLAD and the Board of Education. As well as teaching English lessons, you may also be asked to participate in other school activities such as clubs, cleaning of the school and cultural festivals.

[Conditions]:

・Competitive compensation: ¥220,000 – ¥275,000 per month
・Consistent working hours: Monday through Friday between 8:30-16:15 OR 11:55-19:40 (depending on schools)
・Placement: 2 High schools in Kochi Prefecture

We'll observe your lessons and give you feedback so that you can improve your lessons according to what teachers and the Board of Education want. Working in GLAD is a continued learning process!


[Job Requirements]

・Native speaker of English or individual who has acquired an education in English for at least 12 years
・Holder of a university Bachelor's degree (or higher) in an English-speaking country
・Teaching skill preferred
・Able to speak basic to conversational Japanese
・Priority: Ability to get an international or Japanese driver's license (rental car provided)
