Private international JHS and SHS in central Tokyo requires native English-speaking teachers
for the following positions:
1. Full-time math teacher.
2. Part-time math teacher.
3. Part-time English literature teacher.
4. Part time history teacher.
We do not require any EFL teachers at this time.
The curriculum and content are all fixed and all materials and texts are provided. We are looking for a bright, energetic people who enjoy teaching and are confident that they can provide motivating, challenging lessons to our high level students.
The part-time salary is 3,500 yen per hour, times the number of contracted hours, times fifty-two weeks, divided by twelve. An example 10-hour weekly schedule would be paid as follows: 3500 x 10 x 52 ÷ 12 = 151,167 yen. It is important to note that even though these are part-time positions, the amount paid remains constant throughout the year so is not affected by summer or winter vacations or by whether classes are scheduled or not. Transportation costs are also covered and all salaries are paid on the twenty-fifth of the month.
Full time teachers are offered competitive salaries with the usual benefits. Full time teachers are required to be at school from 8 AM to 5PM.
All classes are 50 minutes in length. Part-time candidates can choose their schedule, bearing in mind that the regular school timetable is spread across the week from 8:30 - 15:15 Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings 8:30 - 12:25.
Please be aware that we are looking for teachers who can teach our native-level English
speaking students and so no Japanese speaking ability or EFL teaching skills are needed.
Positions begin on April 1st 2022 and all candidates must be native English speakers with a
current, valid visa to work in Japan.
Candidates must be experienced and hold a relevant degree, although formal teaching
certification is not required.
