Description

We are looking for energetic candidates who want to learn, create and grow their skills in the media industry. You will be working with and assisting our media professionals to create content and grow our brands across Japan and internationally.

The Savvy Tokyo intern will work directly with the editor-in-chief of Savvy Tokyo and other writers and editors on the team.

Tasks will cover everything from background research for upcoming articles, writing articles covering all categories on Savvy Tokyo, researching and writing the weekly event calendar, attending and reporting on press events, social media postings, finding new places for features, finding new products/trends women are interested in, contacting museums/event organizers for photo permission, taking photos for articles, etc.

The intern will acquire skills in writing, editing, content production, social media, website content management, working in Wordpress, basic image manipulation, and more. Some perks include access to the latest events/restaurant openings/celebrity press events and more.

Requirements and eligibility:

We offer an internship to those who can commit to a minimum of 3 months. The intern will come to the GPlus Media office a minimum of once a week for a minimum of five hours a day. The official schedule will be determined on a case by case basis.

Candidates should be ready to learn and take on any challenge, are team players and are comfortable working in a demanding, fast-paced international environment.

Candidate should be a native-level English speaker and should have conversational Japanese reading/writing/speaking skills.
