Description

The Reggio School of Tokyo is a preschool and kindergarten located in Shibuya/Setagaya, which facilitates a fun, creative, energetic, and positive educational environment for children. Our school’s approach is influenced by the Reggio Emilia Approach: focusing on the individual child, giving them many outlets to grow in a variety of ways, and helping them to develop a lifelong love of learning.

We are looking for experienced and qualified head teachers who have the skills to thrive in a team-based setting and place a high emphasis on teaching standards and educational quality.

Teachers who have interest or experience student-led and project-based methodology, or experience in the arts (performative or medium-based) are highly preferred.

Head Teacher qualifications:
-Must be a native English speaker (spoken and written)
-Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education/Elementary Education or Bachelors Degree and ECE Certification
-2+ years teaching experience in native-language setting
-All teachers must complete a two month paid training period upon initial hiring
-Must be comfortable using an Apple computer

Starting Salary for Head Teachers is increased based on:
-Government (Japan or Home Country) Teaching License/Accreditation
-Experience Teaching in Accredited Schools.
-Team Management Experience.
-Phonics and Literacy Teaching Experience
