Position: Event Coordinator and Marketing Assistant

Salary: ¥100,000~ (part-time), ¥170,000~ (full-time)
Working hours: 3-5 days per week, 10:00-17:00 core time
Night and weekend work required, may take time off in lieu
Vacation: National Holidays, New Year’s vacation, summer vacation
Location: Office (Nihonbashi Honcho, Tokyo) and various offsite locations

FUNCTION
Fundraising and other educational and awareness raising activities, marketing and brand building including sponsor/donor relations
GOALS
1. To fundraise
2. To increase awareness about the organization activities with the public
3. To provide administrative support
JOB DESCRIPTION
Events:
● Coordinate event logistics, including event flow, inventory and shipping, guest lists, volunteer management
● Direct volunteers and other staff, and attend to guests during events
● Initiates, coordinates and/or participates in all efforts to publicize events
Marketing:
● Edit and design promotional materials. Work with printer and/or designer to develop print materials.
● Compose content for English and Japanese Facebook pages and digital newsletters
● Employ marketing campaigns in accordance with needs of various sponsors
● Communicate program effectiveness to a broad audience
Fundraising:
● Prepare and deliver presentations to potential sponsors or workshops for groups
● Respond to inquiries from supporters and interested parties
● Manage correspondence and maintain relationships with sponsoring companies
● Conduct crowdfunding campaigns
● Generate and carry out other ideas for fundraising opportunities
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Computer competency (Google apps, spreadsheets, SNS, etc.)
Writing and comprehension skills
Good multitasking and organizational skills
Enthusiasm for the organization’s mission
Fluency in English, basic proficiency in Japanese
Currently residing in Japan
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Website management experience
Experience with Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
Written Japanese
