Job Description:

The new Tokyo office will focus on the research of and related time-sensitive data-entry of live sporting events occurring in Australasia and Hong Kong.

Objective
To watch live sporting events and operate proprietary research tools in order to capture and record data.

Responsibilities:

Watch live events and record defined activities in a time-sensitive manner. Attention to detail and time is important and the company doesn't want to hire people who are easily distracted (i.e. constantly watching smartphones or using Facebook, etc.).

Follow defined escalation processes as issues are identified

Familiarise and master the use of the company's research tools and provide feedback when required.

Required skills & Experience

Excellent English language skills (no Japanese language skills are required)
Japanese Nationals are welcome to apply, but you will need excellent English (reading writing spoken, i.e. TOEIC above 920).

Very fine attention to detail
Ability to concentrate on the task at hand, irrespective of back ground noise and activity
Familiarity with using Computers

Desirable Skills / Knowledge

Passion for Sport, Sports, and live Sporting Events

Preferred Personality = Probably someone more analytical and introverted. If you're extremely extroverted and want to interact with new people everyday, then this is probably not the job for you. This job will not require speaking with customers and will be fairly routine, repetitive, and accuracy driven.

Job Training will be provided in the Tokyo office if you join after June 1st. If you want to join before June 1st, job training will be provided in the UK for a 3 to 6 week period. All expenses will be paid for during the training period (hotel room and flights/transportation). Work can begin on April 1st or May 1st.

The company does not discriminate on age or gender and welcomes candidates in their early 20's or 60's, etc. They are open to hiring employees with children and will not require extensive overtime, however you will need to work weekends and during Japanese public holidays. If you're an English Conversation teacher tired of teaching students or tired of working in foodservice/hotel/retail industry and want to do something different, this is a great option.

If you're interested to apply, please also include your current Japanese work permission status (visa type and valid until...) and your schedule availability/preference.

Interview Process:

We review resumes/CVs and we will invite candidates to do a phone interview or in-person in Tokyo with our team. Successful candidates will be selected to interview with our client company CEO from the UK when he visits in March. He will make the final hiring decision after he completes the interviews in March.
