RESERVATIONS AND MARKETING MANAGER

The Reservation and Marketing Manager ’s primary focus will be to increase revenue, through a focus on consumer markets and competitor marketing tactics. This person needs to be
technologically savvy and have an in-depth knowledge of the rate and inventory management
logistics within the hospitality industry. This Manager directs and manages the loading and
maintenance of all hotel room rates & inventory, including promotions and proper marketing
techniques and strategies and ensures rate parity.

As a Reservation and Marketing Manager you would be responsible for executing your position’s responsibilities in alignment with our culture, and driving company success through performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

DUTIES INCLUDE
 Day-to-day pro-active communication with reservations department team to assist with the
development of the business;
 Ensure appropriate service levels and the efficient operation of reservation systems and
processes;
 Manage and optimize function space to ensure effective use of space.
 Building productive relationships with properties to ensure that they offer the best availability
and rate structure;
 Train reservations staff members in all elements of their employment, including technical
skills, ideology, organizational culture and standards, hygiene, performance;
 Providing support to properties for accommodations and/or maintaining property information
on the pertinent websites;
 Manage and refine the relationship with resort operations, sales and marketing departments
 Maintain our presence on various online distribution channels
 Maintain relationships with vendors and marketing partners
 Liaison person for properties to contact when they have questions by phone and the account
managers are unavailable;
 Accurate preparation and distribution of daily and weekly occupancy forecasts.
 Develop and manage relationships with local vendors, attractions, restaurants and hotel
partners to support regional needs.
 Lead and motivate staff, both under your responsibility and throughout the organization, to
achieve and exceed performance goals and guest service standards;
 Conduct daily/weekly rate and availability checks on various platforms;
 Assist in the preparation of market visits, operational planning, and projects;
 Assisting in additional tasks and projects when needed ensure sales
 Appropriately report any and all department problems, issues, and opportunities as they
occur;
 Maintains, responds and updates social media sites
 When necessary, coordinate booking of rooms, entertainment, restaurant reservation and
transportation needs.
 You will also need to be versatile, flexible and adapt quickly to the latest guidelines/changes
from NISADE.

o Prior management experience in a hospitality environment (hotel/resort or restaurant) is
required for this position
o Prior reservations and/or revenue management experience is required
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Advanced computer skills with experience
o Experience with marketing research survey development
o Ability to communicate effectively in English and Japanese, with employees and
customers, both verbally and in writing, and must have excellent writing skills
o Excellent organizational skills.
o Ability to work in a team environment.
o Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access Database

Required experience:
 Marketing Management: 2 years
 Marketing: 3 years
 Sales: 1 year
 Hospitality or Food: 3 years
