Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to assist in the preparation of Property Owner statements and financials reports. Prepares and verifies a number of reports and account reconciliations on a daily, weekly or monthly basis for individual property owners and Management Building Association. Act as a business partner and resource to the Property Management teams in the field. Collaborates and coordinates with various individuals/departments to ensure data accuracy.

Essential Functions

Review and analyze financial statements for Property Management and Management Association.
Provide high-level analysis to property management teams and propose adjusting entries/corrections if necessary
Assist in maintaining resident ledgers (Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, Owner Balances)
Coordinate work with various departments and Property team in order to ensure accounting accuracy
Research and code miscellaneous cash receipts
Prepare bank reconciliations
Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
Use excel to prepare monthly analysis of reconciliations; must be able to basic functions in excel including vlookups, filters, and pivot tables
Reviews invoices within electronic payables system
Ensure expenditures are coded according to capitalization policy guidelines

Use of Accounting System MYOB.

Skills and Abilities:

Superb accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment
Ability to be flexible, strategically reactive and meet deadlines
Intermediate to Advance skills in Excel and proficient in other MS Office Suite products
Excellent interpersonal skills, genuinely friendly and approachable

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or
2-5 years’ experience in Accounting
Proven ability to multi-task and work on several projects at once
Intermediate to Advance skills in Excel
English and Japanese Ability.
