Description

Seeking candidates for the position of general shop staff for the dessert brand “Monarch of London”.

We are an international dessert brand seeking to create a strong shop team of candidates from a variety of countries. The position includes general sales, over-the-counter services, creating and maintaining our beautiful dessert displays and interacting with customers. Our stores are located in various department stores in central Tokyo, including Shibuya Hikarie and Ueno Marui.

Fluent Japanese ability is not a necessity although we recommend an intermediate level of ability as you will need to speak with customers on a daily basis and answer any questions they may have regarding our brand or products. We also teach candidates Keigo, the correct way to provide information on our products and points of customer service in Japan. We have a large number of international staff who have improved their language tremendously whilst working at Monarch of London and we require a fundamental grasp of listening in Japanese, followed by speaking. Fluency in reading and writing in Japanese is not a necessity.

Other responsibilities include correct management and handling of products, general management of back-stock, efficient and friendly customer service and adding personality and a good atmosphere to our stores.

Qualifications / Experience and Skills Required:

Applicants are recommended to have prior work experience in the sales or service industry as well as:
· Quick thinking and efficient work style
· Ability to think logically and take directions well
· Physically fit with good stamina.
· No extreme facial piercings or tattoos that cannot be taken out and/or covered up
· Good personal hygiene (clean hair and nails and general upkeep)


- Application Requirements –
Currently living in Japan with a valid visa. Unfortunately, we do not sponser visa’s for part-time workers.

Work Location
Monarch of London stores in various locations throughout Tokyo.

Working hours / Holidays:
For Part-Time Employees: Designated shifts between the times of 9:00 to 21:30.
Four days a week or more, minimum 5 hours per day.
※ Start time for shop staff varies depending on each store.
※ Full-time positions potentially available further on

Salary
Hourly wage from 980円 (for part-time employees). Salary increases available after monthly reviews and checks.

Various Allowances and Other Details:
Commuting allowance is provided up to 10,000円 per month, 500円 per day. Salary increases are available, uniform rental is provided by the company, employee discounts at all Monarch of London stores.

Monarch of London Ueno Marui branch.
