The Accountant position for our APAC region reports to our finance Manager based in the Nagoya office. You will work along with one more member from the Japan finance team to perform duties to reconcile and analyze General Ledger accounts, reconcile and eliminate inter-company accounts, perform monthly closing procedures, prepare sales and other tax filings, and assist in departmental reporting.

How you will make a difference @ FARO
　Handle various aspects of accounting operations
　Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities including monthly interface/posting process, as assigned.
　Support statutory closing and tax filing timely
　Prepare, reconcile, analyze and maintain financial records
　Perform monthly/quarterly departmental reporting requirements of the company
　Prepare documents for audit
　Plan and execute prepare and maintain audit documentation, and follow-up with process owners on remediation activities.
　Manage process documentation and internal control design assessments; including updates and periodic reviews of risks and key controls.
　Plan and execute internal audits, prepare written reports covering audit findings,
　Perform ad-hoc finance related projects

To be successful in this role you need:
　Should have accounting experience in Accounts Payable AP / Accounts Receivable AR work for 2 years or more
　Language proficiency - Fluent level in Japanese communication skills, both oral and written.
　Also business level English ability
　General accounting skills and knowledge
　Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel; SAP experience preferred
