Electrical Engineer (Substations)
Electrical Engineer required with good exposure to proposal preparation and processes along with experience in engineering and design of substations and related equipment. Need to independently be able to handle detailed engineering for switchyard projects. This is a full-time position and visa sponsorship is available.
The position entails:
• Design and execution of primary equipment such as CBs, DS, VT / PT, CT, LA, etc.
• Design and execution of secondary equipment such as control & protection, switchgear, etc.
• Preparation of project schedules and review of progress and submission of MIS
• Basic design and engineering
• Development of key single line diagrams
• Overall protection scheme
• Electrical system design documentation
• Preparation of RFQ documents for various electrical systems and equipment
• Preparation of technical clarification and deviation and discussion with vendors
• Evaluation and recommendation of vendors
• Technical discussion with vendors
• Coordination with owner, customer, consultants
• Strong English communication skills
• Competency in MS Office, AutoCad
• MS project capability would be helpful
Minimum Qualifications:
-Education: Electrical Engineering degree from a recognized accredited university.
-Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
-Results oriented, with good organization skills, attention for detail, and the capability of efficiently working simultaneously on multiple projects.
-5 or more years’ experience in substation projects
-One or more years prior experience working in Japan
