Clark Memorial International High School/Tokyo International Business College, a member of SOSHI Educational Group is seeking a passionate, patient, and professional native-level English teacher for our Fukuoka Campus in Fukuoka. We are looking for a full-time teacher with competence in teaching Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing in English to high school students. The student’s English levels are varied from Beginner to Advanced.

Clark Memorial International High School has a unique and original method to teach English through all four skills to keep students motivated and focused while learning English. We have successful graduates who go on to Japanese and foreign universities.

We are eager to bring on a new teacher in August 2021 who will help our students to achieve a successful high school experience. We prefer a teacher who shows initiative and has experience with extracurricular student assistance; speech/essay contest preparation; making/grading tests; promoting cross-cultural understanding; understanding of a Japanese-team environment; participating in campus meetings; participating in promotional and school events.

【Position】
- English Teacher.

【Work schedule】
- Mon-Fri: 8:30am - 5:00pm.
- Sat: (scheduled monthly for school promotions and events).
- Occasional scheduled overtime (paid).

【Holiday】
- Other holidays: 105 days off in a year (including company holidays and non-working weekends).
- Paid Leave: 10 days (April 1st: 5 days and October 1st: 5 days).

【Essential Duties】
- Duty of care towards students, and passion for teaching.
- Work closely with Japanese staff to implement management policy.
- Attend teachers' meetings.
- Maintain attendance and lesson progress records.
- Prepare materials for lessons.
- Teach your own classes according to the student’s needs.
- Record feedback for each student.
- Monitor students’ progress.
- Motivate and mentor students.
- Greet students and parents.
- Clean up with students.

[Qualification required]
- Native-level English.
- Proficiency in Business Japanese.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher.
- JHS and/or SHS teaching experience.

[Welcomed qualifications/licenses]
- TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, and DELTA.
- Experience in teaching EIKEN, TOEIC, TOEFL, and IELTS.
- Experience in coaching students for speeches, presentations, and debates.

【Salary】
- Monthly: JPY 250K - JPY 350K.*
*Salary is negotiable and based on experience and expertise.

- Transportation expenses (up to JPY 20K/month).
- Visa sponsorship: Yes.

【Job Contract Period】
- Contract period: 1 year (Renewable for up to 5 years).
- Promotions and permanent employment available.
- Probationary Period: Yes (6 months).
