The Osaka Branch of Interac Kansai & South Central Company is seeking applications for high school Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) positions in Kyoto prefecture starting September 1, 2021.

ALTs are the face of the global community in Japanese schools and have an important role in helping and supporting students to broaden their horizons and develop international understanding. ALTs are also role models in the wider school community. If you are a committed teacher with a strong drive to help students achieve their goals, a position with Interac may be for you.

As an ALT with the Osaka Branch, you will teach in public high schools and become an essential part of your school and the local community. Your job as an ALT is two-fold: language instructor and cultural ambassador. We are looking for candidates who are positive, professional and have a love of international communication.

Note: Some positions require driving to the schools. Applicants with a Japanese driver license are encouraged to apply.

Positions are available in various locations including Kyoto, Nantan and Fukuchiyama cities.

Requirements:
★ You must be available to start on September 1, 2021
★ You must currently live in Japan
★ You must be a native-level speaker of English
★ You must have graduated from a university with at least a bachelor's degree
★ You must be professional and mature in all aspects of behavior
★ You must be a team-player, flexible, cheerful and energetic
★ You must have an understanding of the Japanese education system
★ You must have a valid Japanese work visa

Visa sponsorship may be available for qualified candidates.

Training

Interac has a paid, comprehensive initial and ongoing training program to support and develop all ALTs.

Working hours

In these positions the ALT will generally work between 08:00 and 17:00, Monday through Friday.

Remuneration

Salary ranges between 2,400,000 and 3,000,000 Japanese Yen per year depending on the position requirements. Full-time ALTs receive a generous holiday entitlement in line with school vacations throughout the year.

Transportation is fully compensated.

A leased car option is available for positions requiring driving.
