Nagano, Full Time ALT Position (Nagano, Prefecture)

This opening is for a Full Time position as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) in Nagano.

The placement will be in 2 Elementary and 2 Junior High Schools, where the ALT will assist as a team teacher and help plan English lessons under a schedule created by GLAD and the Board of Education. As well as teaching English lessons, you may also be asked to participate in other school activities such as clubs, cleaning of the school and cultural festivals.

Contract dates:
October 16, 2017 ~ February 28, 2018

Selected candidates must be living in or be able to relocate to Nagano at their own expense.

Position Requirements:
・Must be currently residing in Japan.
・Must be a native speaker of English, or have acquired an education in English for at least 12 years.
・Must have completed a University Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in English countries.
・Must have a strong interest in Japanese culture and language and be able to connect with Japanese people.
・Must have conversational Japanese skill
・Must have at least one year of ALT English teaching experience at Elementary school, Junior High school, High School, or Kindergarten in Japan.
・Must have a valid visa status that allows you to live and work in Japan. (Renewal available)
・Must have a valid driver's license and car to commute to schools everyday

Conditions:
・Monthly salary is 222,000 yen per month
・Monday to Friday. 8:00 am to 15:30 ( 45 minute lunch break)
・Transportation costs will be covered at a certain rate per day (1,000 yen per day)
・Days off include weekends, National Holidays, and other holidays set on the Board of Education's school calendar.
