Established in September 2011, Global Institute (GI) runs Tokyo International School Afterschool (TISAS), Tokyo International School Kindergarten (TISKG) and Tokyo International School Learning Through English (TISLTE) at our Nakameguro and Minami Azabu model school campuses. We also have a franchise campus based in Kachidoki, Chuo-ku, another in Maruyama, Sapporo, and a third franchise campus in Nishinomiya, Hyogo. In April 2016 we will be helping Eishinkan to open a new franchise campus in Chuo-ku, Fukuoka.
The new Shukugawa campus will start with all three programs (TISAS, TISKG and TISLTE). Students in the TISAS program are required to attend between 3 and 5 days per week making for an immersion environment. However, there are a number of students who are unable to attend multiple times per week and so the TISLTE program provides classes once per week of 90, 110 and 180 minutes in length. Students are placed in classes based on their age with the program open to pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and elementary students.
We are currently looking to hire one Teacher for the TISLTE program.
POSITION DETAILS: The work week is Tuesday to Saturday. The basic daily work schedule is 11:00am to 8:00pm during the week and 9:00am to 6:00pm on Saturday, however the actual block of work hours may shift forward or back depending on the individual campuses.
IDEAL CANDIDATE: We are looking for a confident, dedicated, and passionate teacher. Candidates must have a university degree and two years experience (ideally working with elementary students in Japan).
LOCATION: The school is located near Ropponmatsu station and Befu station on the Jonan line and Tojinmachi station and Nishijin station on the Kuko line.
START DATE: August, 2017.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS: GI is providing a recruitment service for Eishinkan. GI will screen resumes to check that minimum requirements are met. Candidates who meet the requirements will be contacted to arrange face-to-face interviews for teachers who are able to come to our Tokyo HQ, or Skype web-interviews for those who can’t. Candidates will be asked to bring with them their residence card, passport, copies of qualifications and letters of reference. Following the first round of interviews candidates will be short-listed for a second round of interviews, which will include a trial lesson. These second round interviews will be conducted with Eishinkan staff and they will make the final decision. Once that final decision has been made GI will contact all candidates to inform them of the decision. The successful candidate will meet with Eishinkan to sign employment documentation.
We look forward to receiving your application.
