IELTS™ Instructor　- Nagoya (expired)

This summer, Berkeley House is officially expanding operations into west Japan, as we open our official IELTS™ Test Centres in Osaka and Nagoya in partnership with UK PLUS, after the successful launch of our Tokyo test centre in 2020.

Our students range from young language learners in junior, senior high schools, vocational colleges, universities to top-level executives working for some of Japan's most influential companies.

Location:
UK PLUS Nagoya Campus
A 6~8 walk from Nagoya Station
(Remote work possible for part-timers)

Position:
Part-time and possible Full-time opportunities

Essential Duties:
Private lessons
-Teach classes on weekdays and/or weekends as available.
-Complete essential administrative tasks such as record sheets and student reports.

Group lessons (Schools and Corporations)
-Teach regular courses at educational institutions and corporations
-Prepare syllabi, assessment tests, and grade homework.
-Attend special course orientations as requested.

Requirements:
-Be a native-level speaker
-Have more than 3 years of experience teaching IELTS™ or other English standardized tests.
-Hold relevant qualifications (CELTA, DELTA, MA TESOL, etc.) including practicum.
-Able to teach at least one of the days on weekends and some national holidays.

Preference:
-Have a minimum of 3 years experience teaching English in Japan
-Have experience as an English language test examiner (IELTS™, Cambridge Exams, etc.)
-Have experience instructing: TOEFL®/ACT/SAT/GMAT/GRE/Cambridge EIKEN/Cambridge Exams, etc.)
-Working knowledge of online platforms such as Zoom, TEAMS, etc.
-Able to teach face-to-face lessons


Salary:
*3,000 Yen~ + transportation
*For those who have limited experience with IELTS™ the starting rate is 3,000 yen/hour.
Once you have successfully passed our IELTS™ teacher training program you will be immediately eligible for the 3,500 yen rate.
**Salary is negotiable based on experience and expertise
