[Job Description]
We are looking for research mentors and curriculum developer as we launch a new international science high school, Manai Institute of Science and Technology.

Our new school is very different from the traditional school system where they merely teach subjects from teachers to students. Our program strongly focuses on students’ research. We believe that students most effectively learn and thrive by working on their own research projects chosen based on their interests, curiosity, and passion. In order to make this research-driven program possible, mentors’ support and guidance are essential.

Also we are preparing innovating materials and curriculum that compliment our research-driven program. We are looking for people who are willing to design/create/build materials, curriculum, and workshops that are necessary for the students to deepen their studies.

Mentors are namely staffs who mentor Manai students and their research projects, studies, and life in general, and also contribute to the curriculum and workshop development.
We are looking for mentors who:
has science and research background, preferably in graduate school in a science or engineering field.
is passionately pursuing something in science, technology, education, or art.
enjoys interacting with students.
is flexible and robust in uncertainties and unpredictable situations.
is not passive and willing to create an environment you enjoy.

The job can includes but not limited to:
guiding students’ research and studies
facilitate collaborations between students and external research institutes or universities.
consultation with students
designing and organizing extra curricular events or fun activities with students.
creating/teaching courses and workshops
designing/creating/building experiments and curriculum
helping running our seasonal programs
building network with other researchers and other research institutes
building our learning community

We are going to seek specific jobs for each mentor in order to maximize the performance and joy of mentors.
