Recruitment of an English Teacher

Minimum Qualifications
• Master of English Literature with Humanities. The qualification must be validated by a reputable university.
• Full time work experience in teaching English as a subject for more than 3 years at public or private schools.
• Japanese: Any level (preferred conversational level at least.)
Salary
Base up: depends on work performance
Working time
8:45 a.m. ~ 5:00 p.m. (Monday ~ Friday). May have to work on some weekends as well.
Description of the Position:
The applicant must have a minimum of 3 years of full time work experience in teaching English as a first language subject at public or private schools.
Reference and recommendation letters of two previous employers are compulsory.
The position requires preparation of coursework and assignments for classes, set tests, examination papers and exercises. Essays and reports, and other writing assignments are also compulsory.
The position requires great organizational skills, excellent planning and getting involved in all social and cultural activities of the school, such as sports competitions, school annual events, field trips, PTM etc.
The position requires meeting with colleagues to coordinate lesson plans and work with specific subjects of expertise.
The candidate needs to attend and contribute to various training sessions and undertake administrative tasks, such as keeping student registers and attendance records, and accompany the students to assemblies.
The candidate must correct all textbooks/workbooks/notebooks/worksheets on time.
The candidate needs to accompany students for Extracurricular and Co-curricular activities.
The candidate is expected to safely keep a record of evidences of all assessments.
Coordination of summer and winter camps.
The applicant should have a pleasing personality and effective communication skills.
The applicant must possess cultural sensitivity, tolerance and patience.
The candidate must attend meetings scheduled in the school calendar punctually and set cover work during any leave of absence.
