Description

Borderlink is searching for responsible and energetic Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) to work in elementary schools in Machida City, Tokyo from April of 2018. We also have a variety of open positions in Tokyo such as Kita ward, Bunkyo ward, Taito ward, Nakano ward, Inagi city and Fuchu city. Please read on for more information about Machida and also about Borderlink. We will be holding interviews over Skype and face-to-face at our office in Saitama or Tokyo from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. We are looking forward to speaking with you soon.

・・・About Machida City・・・
Machida city is a large city in south west Tokyo with great access to Kanagawa and central Tokyo. The English program is very advanced with extra support coming from Tamagawa University. There is even an after-school program using a video conferencing system to further help the student's English level. The sister city is Tasmania so someone from there would have a lot of opportunities to help the English system in Machida. If you are interested in helping the students in Machida we would love to work with you!

・・・About Borderlink・・・
We at Borderlink strongly feel that ALTs are a crucial part of English language instruction in schools, and we want to fully support their efforts to inspire students and their schools.

Borderlink believes that the role of the ALT is to make English fun and “real” for the students. ALTs breathe life into English, talking and laughing with the students, not only in English class, but in the hallways, on the sports field, and anywhere else in between. As an ALT, you will have the opportunity to give students insight that they could never obtain from just a textbook. This can be as simple as taking five minutes in class to talk about holidays or school life in your home country.

What can we do for you?

By joining the Borderlink family, you will be joining a company respected in schools and by educational boards throughout Japan. Borderlink offers:
・Competitive salaries
・A 5-day workweek with evenings, weekends and national holidays free
・Paid vacation days
・Opportunities for experienced ALTs to advance in our company
・24 hour emergency support
・Help with immigration/visa processing, finding housing and opening bank accounts.
・In-depth training (3 times a year – Including training before you first enter a school)
・Access to comprehensive teaching materials

Thank you for your interest in Borderlink. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
