BIG BOW English Lab was created in 2006 by a husband/wife team who are veterans in the field of English education in Japan. Job Description: Assist the head teacher during lessons of up to twelve children (pre-school to high school classes), correct tests and writing assignments, and assist students in checking out library books. There will be opportunities for the assistant teacher to occasionally take over parts of the lesson and team teach with the head teacher. As we are a small school with a flexible curriculum, effort will be made to make use of the assistant teacher’s talents in the pursuit of their professional development.
Requirements: Applicants must have a college diploma and experience working with children. TESL or CELTA certification a plus. Native level English required.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:30pm – 9pm (plus occasional weekend events).
Salary: 250,000 yen/month (one year renewable contract) Travel allowance negotiable.
Applicant must currently reside in Japan. Sponsorship or visa renewal is available.
