Teenagers and young adults, likewise, may attend more than 1 class a week choosing between 2 courses - a conversation course whose focus in on developing real-time conversation skills, and a lexis and literacy skills development course.

The successful candidate will be assigned classes according to their skill set and personal interests. When applying for the position, please clarify which age group you are interested in teaching.

Teachers of young children need to be able to sing in tune. Teachers of teenagers and young adults need either a CELTA qualification or similar, and/or relevant teaching experience, or in the absence of either, strong linguistic and personal interaction skills, and an interest in professional development.

Subsequent training and professional development will be provided in accordance with the teacher's observable skills and performance.

"WHAT ABOUT WORKING CONDITIONS AND REMUNERATION?"
The working week is from Tuesday to Saturday, with hours depending upon the age group taught. A salary of ¥3,000,000 per annum will be paid within the initial 2-year contract period, in addition to other allowances as relevant. The contract is renewable at the end of the initial period. All teaching staff are eligible for performance-based bonuses and receive 4 weeks paid annual holidays. We can provide visa sponsorship and a guarantee for rental accommodation if required. Costs associated with moving or renting accommodation are not included in the remuneration package.
