Teach English to Children in Japan!

Amity is a leading English conversation educator for children in Japan. Amity has been providing international teaching opportunities for more than four decades at 85 branch schools throughout Japan. Amity is seeking enthusiastic and motivated professionals who enjoy working with children.

We are currently looking for qualified teachers who can begin in the next three months in various locations. The recruitment of teachers continues throughout the year for all 85 schools in Japan with new teacher training sessions usually being held once a month. Even if you are not available for our current open locations, we are always interested in interviewing qualified candidates.

Successful candidates must have a native English fluency, have the ability to work with a wide range of ages (student ages range from six months to 18 years old), possess good communication skills, be approachable, and be open-minded to cultural differences. The candidate must also be creative and have a willingness to learn Amity's teaching methods in addition to improving their own teaching skills. Japanese language ability, as well as teaching and/or business experience is helpful, but not necessary. Candidates must have a BA/BS degree (all majors considered) and have completed all of their elementary and secondary education primarily in English.

Amity Corporation offers a competitive minimum salary of 270,000 Yen per month to first year teachers, visa sponsorship, subsidized housing, subsidized corporate health insurance, and more. Teachers are eligible for monthly bonuses which are dependent on student numbers and class load, as well as a contract completion bonus. Further financial incentives may also be available to qualifying domestic applicants for housing, commuting, and dependent support.

We are also looking for qualified applicants who are interested in working at multiple branch schools as an Emergency Teacher or as a Regional Emergency Teacher. Emergency Teachers and Regional Emergency Teachers travel to various branch schools in order to provide teaching support. Desired Skills & Requirements:

- Desire and ability to work with young children (ages range from six months to 18 years old, but are predominantly elementary school age and below)
- BA/BS degree; all majors considered
- Completion of elementary, secondary, and university education primarily in English only
- Native English Fluency level
- Ability to work a full-time 40-hour workweek from Tuesday to Saturday
- Ability to work 10AM-7PM, 11AM-8PM and 12PM-9PM as decided by the branch school manager
- Teaching experience helpful, but not necessary
- Japanese language ability not necessary
