Description

Kinokawa, Wakayama Full Time ALT Assistant Language Teacher Position

These openings are for full-time positions as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) from September 1, 2017 ~ February 2018.

The placement will be in Elementary and Junior High Schools where the ALT will assist as a team teacher and help plan English lessons under a schedule created by GLAD and the Board of Education. As well as teaching English lessons, you may also be asked to participate in other school activities such as clubs, cleaning of the school and cultural festivals.

Position Requirements:
・Must be currently living in Japan.
・Must be a native speaker of English, or have acquired an education in English for at least 12 years.
・Must have completed a 4 year University Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in English countries.
・Must have a strong interest in Japanese culture and language and be able to connect with Japanese people.
・Must have at least 1 year of ALT English teaching experience at Elementary School, Junior High School, or High School in Japan.
・Must have a valid visa status that allows you to live and work in Japan (Visa renewal available).
・Must have a valid driver's license and car to drive to schools that are not easy to access by train.

Conditions:
・Daily base salary is 11,000~12,000 yen per day, depending on experience
・Monday to Friday. Full Time is 5 days a week. Hours are approximately 8:30 am ~ 4:30 pm.
・Days off include weekends, National Holidays, and other holidays set on the Board of Education's school calendar
・Transportation allowance
