Toyonaka City, North Osaka - Full Time ALT Positions (Osaka prefecture)

These openings are for Full Time positions as an assistant language teacher (ALT) in Toyonaka in North Osaka.

The placement will be in Elementary schools and Junior High Schools across Toyonaka, North Osaka, where the ALT will assist as a team teacher and help plan English lessons under a schedule created by GLAD and the Board of Education. As well as teaching English lessons, you may also be asked to participate in other school activities such as clubs, cleaning of the school and cultural festivals.

Contract starting dates are staggered for 3 different starting times:

1. Late August 2017 Start
2. Early October 2017 Start
3. Early November 2017 Start

All these contracts end in May 2018.

Selected candidates must be living in or be able to relocate to Osaka, at their own expense.

Position Requirements:
・Must be currently residing in Japan.
・Must be a native speaker of English, or have acquired an education in English for at least 12 years.
・Must have completed a University Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in English countries.
・Must have a strong interest in Japanese culture and language and be able to connect with Japanese people.
・Must have conversational Japanese skills or better.
・Must have at least one year of ALT English teaching experience at Elementary school, Junior High school, High School, or Kindergarten in Japan.
・Must have a valid visa status that allows you to live and work in Japan. (Renewal available)

Conditions:
・Daily salary is 11,000 to 12,000 yen per day (depending on experience)
・Monday to Friday. 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
・Transportation costs will be covered at a certain rate per day.
・Days off include weekends, National Holidays, and other holidays set on the Board of Education's school calendar.
