Description

Dear Applicants,

7ACT is currently looking to recruit a reliable, cooperative and experienced high school instructor, for a high school in the Sanda region of Hyogo.
The successful candidate must have a strong sense of responsibility for their lessons and care for students’ improvement.
They will also at be required to undertake occasional tasks and cooperate with Japanese English teachers at this high school.

Lessons at this school commence from around mid-April 2017(This is a one-year contract).

We are looking for a person to do a 2-day work week (Thursdays and Fridays) from 08:40 to 15:30. The school will take long summer and winter breaks in July/August/December/March. Therefore there are no work days for the month stipulated.

There are 3-4 classes in a day, each class is 50 minutes long with a 10-minute break between each class, and a 45 minute lunch break.
Remuneration ranges at 12,000-14,000 yen per day depending on experience and references.
(The maximum is 14,000 yen). Transportation expenses will be reimbursed.

The Successful applicant must have:
-A valid work visa. (Student, Working holiday visa and Tourist Visas are not accepted)
-A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or similar.
-Be a native-level English speaker.
-At least 6 months of teaching experience in Japan.
-Confidence, be able to teach groups of high school students and get along with other Japanese English -teachers in class as well as 7ACT staff. (Classes have up to 44 students aged 15-17 years old)

The Successful applicants must be able to:
- Work weekdays from 8:40~15:30.
- Work 2 days a week. (Thursdays and Fridays)
-Commit till the end of the contract(from April 2017 through March 2018)

Ideal qualities for the position:
- Strong and engaging class presence that maintains student interest.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to explain grammar and vocabulary clearly and concisely.
- Having experience of teaching high school students would be a plus.
- Conversational level Japanese would also be a plus (but not essential)
