Description

Tokyo International School Learning Through English (TISLTE), a Saturday School program for non-native English speaking kindergarten and elementary school children, is accepting applications for a teacher to lead a new class at our Ohori campus.

IDEAL CANDIDATE: We are looking for a confident, dedicated, and energetic teacher. The candidate must have a university degree and two years experience working with children, and be passionate, energetic and hard working.

POSITION DETAILS: The position is a Saturday School position. Saturday School has two class time slots: from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm. Our Saturday program is open for children aged between 4 and 11 years of age with classes divided into age groups. We are looking for a teacher who can teach both the morning and afternoon classes.

LOCATION: The current position is for a vacancy at our Ohori campus which is located near Ropponmatsu and Tojinmachi stations.

START DATE: April 1st, 2017

COMPENSATION: 10,000 yen for a half day (for one class) and 20,000 for a full day (for two classes) with transportation fully reimbursed.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS: resumes will be screened to check that minimum requirements are met. Candidates will be contacted to arrange face-to-face interviews for teachers who are able to come to our Meguro HQ, or Skype web-interviews for those who can’t. Candidates will be asked to bring with them their residence cards, passports, copies of qualifications and letters of reference. Following the first round of interviews candidates will be short-listed for a trial lesson, which will take place at the Ohori campus. Following the trial lessons a final decision will be made and the successful candidate will start as soon as they are able to.
