Advertising Sales for English Magazine & Website, Account Executive

<Who we are>
Business World Corporation has been the leading company of English publications in Japan since 1971. We publish the English restaurant guidebook "WINING & DINING in TOKYO", run an English restaurant search website "" and an English and Japanese website "" We also publish a digital magazine and provide restaurant information on Facebook page, Instagram and Twitter.

Due to business expansion after the pandemic and new sales team establishment, we are looking for media advertising sales representatives.

Account Executive / advertising sales representative for English magazine and website.
Working conditions: Freelance, full remote work. flexible work time, straight-commission or
Part-time: 3 days a week (choose from Monday to Friday), flexible work time (around 10:00 a.m. ~ 6:30 p.m.), commission plus monthly basic allowance.

Training provided. Potential for rapid promotion. After several month experiences, there is a chance to be promoted to Full-timer / Sales Manager position depending on your sales performance.
Visa sponsorship is available, after promotion to full-time.

<Description of duties:>
To give advertising proposals to restaurants and companies that are targeting both foreign residents in Japan and foreign visitors. We aim to support their marketing and promotion activities.
- Market research to find potential clients
- Calling or email potential clients for setting up business appointments
- Make presentations, proposals, negotiate contracts (online and face-to-face)
- Process management for advertising artwork
- Client management
- Customer service

<Qualifications and experience>
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and goal oriented
- Confident and capable of cold-calling
- Standard PC skills for Word and Excel

- Native English Speakers, Europeans or Japanese
- Conversational or Business level Japanese ability
- Must currently reside in Japan
- Live within the Greater Tokyo Area (no requirement for freelancer)
- Long-term Worker (at least one year)
- Sales experience and Japanese ability preferred.

- Company iPad provided (only for part-timer, not for freelancer)
- Free tea, coffee and snacks in the office
- Fun events for employees (BBQ, Year-End party, etc)
- Long company holidays: Golden Week, Summer: 12 days, Winter: 17 days (2022)

Monthly Payment
Freelance: straight commission.
Part-time: commission plus monthly basic allowance. Transportation expense, monthly sales performance bonus.

Estimated monthly income:
Freelance: straight commission of the sales made.
¥250,000 / month (in case of ¥1million monthly sales)
¥500,000 / month (in case of ¥2million monthly sales)
¥750,000 / month (in case of ¥3million monthly sales)

Part-time: three days a week, excludes transportation expense.
¥220,000 / month (in case of ¥1million monthly sales)
¥390,000 / month (in case of ¥2million monthly sales)
¥560,000 / month (in case of ¥3million monthly sales)

We seek active and social people. Part-time is good for person who want to work in international atmosphere and women whose children have grown up and who want to return to professional work as a part-timer. Our president have two children as well.

Freelance is good for sales professional. You can work from anywhere in Japan and online interview is available. Full remote work is okay. If you live in Tokyo, it is possible to work at our office as well.

セミフリーランス:平日週3日程度(月曜日から金曜日から選択可能) 、フレックスタイム(例:10:00 am ~ 18:30 pm)コミッション+月額手当+交通費+パフォーマンスボーナス(奨励ボーナス)

「Wining & Dining in Tokyo」は印刷版の他にデジタル書籍版をPC、携帯電話、iPadなどの電子書籍用端末から購読が可能です。FacebookやInstagramなどのソーシャルメディアも活用し、英語と日本語でレストラン情報を紹介しています。『』は、総合情報ウェブサイトで、在日外国人の生活情報や、日本の文化、旅行、食、ビジネス、アートなどを、幅広く紹介しています。

¥500,000 / month (月間売上¥200万の場合、契約約8件)
