DESCRIPTION
Wanted: A highly qualified candidate to fill a position in a university public relations office. Position expected to begin December 1, 2021.
Primary duties involve the maintenance and creation of web content, including social media, and writing and editing PR materials. The main output language is English, though using both English and Japanese is essential as you will be working in a mostly Japanese environment. Duties will also include assisting with occasional events and other tasks. Employment is by contract, and renewable annually for up to five years.
An ideal candidate will have:
1) Native-level English skill, able to write and proofread text (academic writing experience a plus)
2) Japanese fluency (able to read and write for internal purposes)
3) Skill in web tools (WordPress and SNS)
Work hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00-17:15 (1 hour lunch)
Compensation: Monthly pay plus bonus (bonus = 1.5 month's salary x twice per year) and commuting expenses. Health and social insurance also provided.
