ALT in Kiyose, Tokyo with ECC Best Career

ECC Best Career is looking for a semi full-time English speaking Assistant Language Teachers for elementary and junior high schools.

General Information:

As an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) you will be responsible for assisting English teachers across a number of schools in Kiyose. Your primary responsibilities will be to act as a native level English speaker in order to assist students with pronunciation, grammar, and to help carry out language tests. As an assistant teacher you will not lead classes but instead follow the lead of the primary teacher.

Additional responsibilities include the planning of class activities, as well as grading homework and exams, depending on the needs of the different schools.

Teaching experience and native English are preferred but not required.
Position is only available for applicants currently residing in Japan.

Location:
Kiyose station (21 minutes from Ikebukuro station).
Some days will require a bus from the station.

- Work hours: 8:15 - 16:00, Monday - Friday (7 hours a day plus a 45 minute lunch break)
※ The position is near full-time but there will be days where you have no work scheduled.
※ Approx. 175 days per year
※ No work days in August due to summer holiday

Payment: 13,000 yen per day
Travel Expenses: 1,000 yen flat rate

Duration: May 2025 - March 2026

※ Contract extension available based on performance.
