【Part-time ALT work in Tokyo】
Borderlink, Inc. is now hiring Assistant Language Teachers (ALT) for part-time (daily-rate) positions in Tokyo, starting from April 2025. Please note that these positions will have you working anywhere between 1 to 5 days per week, but the hours are the same as a full school day (a shift generally falling between 7:45 to 17:00). Daily-rate positions are recommended for those with easily adaptable and flexible schedules. If you are looking to relocate to or within Tokyo, we can assist you. 【Position Details】
Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) work alongside Japanese teachers to make English lessons fun and engaging for the students. Practicing grammar and vocabulary, participating in games and activities to reinforce the lesson’s goals and communicating with students both inside and outside of the classroom are all part of a day’s work for ALTs.

⚫ Contract period: April 2025 to March 2026
⚫ Contract type: Part-time
⚫ Level: Elementary and/or junior high school
⚫ General working hours: Shift between 7:45 am to 17:00 pm
⚫ Salary range: Between 11,500 yen to 13,500 yen / day
⚫ Benefits: Paid holidays (as stipulated by the contract)

【Requirements】
ALTs should be motivated, enthusiastic, professional and proactive in communicating with others. Successful applicants must also meet the following criteria:

🔺 Already be living in Japan and hold a valid visa permitting work
🔺 Have native-level English proficiency with natural phonetic fluency and a minimum of 12 years of education where the main language of instruction in all classes was English
🔺Be a university graduate holding a bachelor's degree or higher
🔺 Have conversational Japanese skills and be comfortable talking with teachers and staff
🔺 Are in good health and able to commit and complete the contract period (until March 2026)
🔺 Highly motivated, outgoing and friendly; able to proactively share ideas and communicate fully with other teachers

[For positions in Hachioji]
🔺Hold a TESOL / TEFL / equivalent teaching certificate/license OR have prior teaching experience

[For positions in Itabashi]
🔺 Have more than 1 year of English teaching experience
