At The Reggio School of Tokyo we facilitate a fun, creative, energetic, and positive educational environment for children. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced School Manager to help lead our team as it continues to grow and expand.

This position is for the 2025-2026 School Year.

As the school manager, you will be responsible for helping oversee daily operations, supporting the teaching staff, ensuring the smooth implementation of our Reggio-inspired curriculum, and reporting to the director and owner regarding various long-term projects and goals of the school.

We are looking for a leader with excellent organizational and communication skills, a passion for early childhood education, and the ability to foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

Experience in an administrative position in an accredited school or international school is required.

Key Responsibilities:

-Manage and oversee the daily operations of the school, ensuring adherence to high standards of educational quality.
-Support and mentor teaching staff, facilitating professional development and maintaining a positive workplace culture.
-Ensure that all programs align with the Reggio Emilia Approach and the school’s educational objectives.
-Report to owner and director of the school on performance and goals.
-Oversee curriculum development, class schedules, and administrative processes.
-Act as a liaison between staff, parents, and the wider community to ensure smooth communication and problem-solving.
-Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and staff evaluation processes.
-Maintain compliance with all local regulations and school policies.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field. A Master’s Degree or educational leadership certification is highly preferred.
-3+ years of experience in educational management, preferably in an early childhood or primary school setting.
-Experience with the Reggio Emilia Approach is a strong advantage, but not mandatory.
-Strong understanding of child development, classroom management, and early childhood best practices.
-Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
-Fluent in English (spoken and written); Japanese language proficiency is a plus.
-Must be comfortable using an Apple computer and basic office software.


Conditions for Position:

Weekly Schedule: 5 Days (M-F)
Daily Schedule: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (with 1-hour break)
Contract Length: 3 Years (with completion of Probationary Period)

Starting Salary Increased Based On:
-Educational qualifications (Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Education or related field).
-Experience managing educational programs in accredited schools.
-Knowledge or experience in Reggio Emilia-inspired or student-centered educational models.
-Team leadership experience in a school setting.
-Government (Japan or Home Country) Teaching License/Accreditation
