English Teacher（期限切れ）

Description:
Nodayama Kindergarten is currently seeking experienced teachers who have a passion working with young children. Candidates must be professional, energetic, active, and patient. Teamwork is of utmost importance in this position - someone who can cooperate with the teachers and staff of the school. Although English teaching is the primary responsibility, supporting homeroom teachers with taking care of children is also necessary.

We implement the GrapeSEED Curriculum, an English learning program based on principles of natural language acquisition. The successful candidate will be provided with Grapeseed training prior to teaching.

We also offer an after-school program "Friends Club" which continues their English learning for Elementary Grades 1-6 . GrapeSEED is also implemented in these classes, but you can be creative with your lesson during special sessions.

Job Description:
- Full time contract, minimum of 1 year (at least two years or long-term commitment is preferred)
- Starting monthly salary 230,000 yen/month plus employment insurance, worker’s accident compensation insurance.
- Housing allowance of 25,000 yen/month.
-3 months’ probation with the same salary and benefits.
- 33 working hours/week (about 18 class hours), between 10:00 and 19:00. Due to special circumstances, working schedule may be changed.
- In general: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10:00-19:00 (with 2 hour break time) and Wednesday 8:00am-14:00 (a few Saturdays/Sundays depending on school events)
- Visa sponsorship available
- 5 paid holidays for Summer Break and 6 days for Winter Break apart from the other paid holidays (10 in a year).
- Participate in the school’s special events, cleaning the school and assisting teachers.
- Teach children aged between 4 years and 6 years old in the morning
- Teach children aged between 7 years and 12 years old in the afternoon
- Holidays: Saturday and Sunday, National holidays.

Requirements
The applicant must:
(1) Be a Native Speaker or from an English Speaking Country.
(2) Currently living in Japan and willing to relocate if necessary
(3) Hold a university degree
(4 ) Short-listed applicants will be required to provide a reference letter from their previous employer.

Preferred Requirements:
(1) TESOL/TESL or CELTA certified.
(2) At least 1-2 years teaching English to children.
(3) Japanese language skill is NOT required. However, someone who is familiar with
Japanese culture and etiquette will be preferred.
(4) Familiarity with teaching phonics.
