Job Description

Perform IT Service Delivery role for Boeing International customers primarily located in the local country. This primarily includes Helpdesk and Desktop support work. There is a need for server and network knowledge. Understand Boeing International business processes and internal customer technical and computing utilization requirements and problems. Interface with Boeing International Business leaders and employees for the delivery of common IT and telecommunications products and services. Ensure CNO IT and computing security procedures and processes are documented and deployed throughout the local country. Act as the local country IT interface to CNO IT organizations including Global Network Design as needed. Represent the local country in technical forums and projects. Provide technical computing and telecommunications support, training and mentoring to other Boeing IT Technicians and Boeing International customers. Provide testing and certification of new IT products and services as appropriate. Define and document regional IT requirements (i.e. new office opening). Represent customer requirements to IT team and U.S.-based support organizations. Interface with company Information Systems focals to understand customer future needs and plan implementations. Communication Lead and participate on appropriate local and regional computing teams. Ensure, provide or coordinate and prepare customer/end user regional communications. Project Manager responsibilities: Manage IT deployments within the region. Responsible to work directly with the Project Portfolio Manager to ensure schedule and commitment coordination. Ensure correct schedule resource loading, commitment to schedule and schedule change management. Project manage complex service delivery activities. Coordinate flexible and changing schedules and requirements. Coordinate activities of internal and external suppliers to orchestrate service delivery. Contribute to project planning, problem definition, and solution implementation pertaining to customer. Gather and report regional customer impacts for any scheduled and unscheduled computing outages and interruptions of CNO services. Other duties and requirements as assigned by management.

Competencies

o Position requires at least 5 years of combined helpdesk and desktop end user support experience.
o Must be able to demonstrate excellent English communications skills.
o Must be able to demonstrate strong teaming skills with fellow IT employees, customers and suppliers in a professional manner.
o Must be able to demonstrate superior knowledge of computing systems including Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems, networks, computing hardware and peripheral equipment, software packages and utilities, computer control languages and commands and problem analysis techniques and project management.
o Able to demonstrate the ability to use and teach standard applicable computing disciplines (e.g., change, configuration, problem, performance, and operational management) to ensure that customer delivery systems requirements are met in a cost-effective manner which complies with company standards, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
o Able to demonstrate the ability to analyze, select, build, assemble, test, certify, evaluate, prepare for deployment, deploy (install), manage and maintain delivery systems, subsystems and components.
o Able to demonstrate the ability to help users make efficient use of computing systems and provide production control and/or multidiscipline project management.
o Must be willing to travel up to 120 days during the calendar year to support Boeing sites.
o Must have the ability to quickly learn emerging computing technologies as directed by Boeing.
o Must be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
o Proficiency (verbal & written) in English and Japanese languages is required.



Education

Prefer Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline. Desire technical certification.
