Description

At Gymboree your world will be filled with laughter, music, and the personal reward of knowing that you are helping a parent and child build a happy and healthy world together.

Our teachers lead dynamic and interactive “mommy and me” play, music and art classes that build children’s cognitive, social and physical skills. Designed by child development experts, our programming focuses on and supports the specific developmental milestones children are working on at their age. In addition to our “mommy and me” classes, teachers may be required to teach drop-off and preschool classes and lead birthday parties.

We provide excellent paid training, support, and motivation to help you grow and succeed. Employees are thoroughly trained in the Gymboree Method of Teaching, operation of our facilities, and child development. This training requires a commitment to learn and grow, and is a long-term proposition. The official training period may last up to 2 months and ends as soon as you can teach your first class on your own. However, teachers will continue to train in new programs and with different age groups. Therefore, we strongly request that staff stay with us for at least one year.

We are currently looking for candidates who:
- are confident singing and performing in front of children and parents
- have a playful and energetic personality and teaching style
- are willing to get involved in the non-teaching aspects of the position (admin, cleaning, marketing, training, etc.)
- are comfortable answering the phone and speaking with customers in Japanese

The following qualifications are also preferred:
-Experience teaching young children (0-5 years old) in a mommy & me and/or drop-off environment
-Experience handling admin/reception tasks in English and Japanese
