Description

We're seeking an experienced and enthusiastic full-time native English teacher for a new Tokyo branch of Sunrise Kids International School, our all-English international preschool.

You'll be joining a small, close-knit team of English-speaking Japanese and foreign staff, teaching children aged between 1 and 7. As our school grows, we need teachers who possess both the passion and energy to work with young children.

As a teacher at Sunrise you will be responsible for teaching circle time lessons, preparing materials for the school, leading kids to the park, playing with children during free play sessions and possibly some child care duties.

You should have at least some experience of working with groups of young children, and those with relevant qualifications will be preferred. There may also be very occasional lessons for adults involved, so experience in that is a plus. Japanese ability is not required, but at some basic conversational ability is preferred.

We ask that all interviewees perform a short demo lesson or activity (about 5-10 minutes) in addition to their interview. We are looking for a kind, caring, intelligent, fun and enthusiastic person who is willing to sing, dance and give children the skills to move forward in life through the medium of English.
