The Coordinator EMR will work with the EMR manager in the general administration of the
organization’s events, and in developing and executing marketing strategies and building
affiliations with universities, educational institutions, publishing organizations and
corporations. They will also have the opportunity to work on business, research, and
publishing projects.

The ideal candidate will be confident, well-presented, self-motivated and hardworking, and
capable of working with others on projects both as part of a team, as well as independently,
and possess excellent interpersonal and communicative skills. The candidate will be
interested in working in a challenging international environment, with the strong opportunity
for professional development and internal promotion.

We are looking for a native English speaker with excellent written English skills, or a native
Japanese with fluent English, and the ability to use appropriate register for differing
situations. A familiarity with computers is also expected (Excel and MS Word).

General Conditions:
IAFOR Main Office: Nagoya Fushimi (5 minutes walk from Fushimi station and 2 minutes
walk from the Nagoya Hilton).
Some travel to conferences in Osaka is required (5-10 times a year), and occasional
international travel.

-Duration of Contract
1 year, renewable by mutual consent

-Termination of Contract
No less than 1 month notice of termination by either employer or employee

Working days: Monday to Friday, 9:00-18:00 (Lunch=1 hour:12:00-13:00)
Holidays: Saturday, Sunday and Japanese public holidays*

-Salary: ¥250,000 ~ ¥400,000 / Month depending on experience and qualifications
Twice annual bonuses of ¥100,000-¥300,000 based on experience and performance
(Total annual package = ¥3,200,000-¥5,400,000)

*Weekend work/Flextime
You may be expected to work weekends during conferences, and some evenings during peak
preparation times (scheduling, etc) for which extra remuneration will not be received. If
asked to work a Saturday or Sunday, a substitute holiday is to be given in return, dates will be
decided by employer.

-Annual Vacation/Leave - To be decided by Employer
Christmas/New Year: 1 week, Spring; 1 week, Summer: 2 weeks
