van der Architects is an unique corporate interior design and consultancy company based in Tokyo. Our services stretch from programming to design and project - construction management of office interiors. By approaching projects in an analytical way, a methodology we call WorkVitamins, the designs we produce are solutions that are specific to each project. Creativity is re-defined as it is not limited to the mere selection of colours and materials of the workstations as it is in a traditional design company. van der Architects are independent, professional consultants that are 100% focusing on our clients specific needs.


Project manager (Full-time position)

Job description: Responsible for the successful delivery of the interior projects of van der Architects, more specifically:

• Responsible for budget control by means of proven negotiation skills,
• Develop clear bidding specifications,
• Plan and schedule the various phases of the project,
• Coordinate with the various parties involved,
• Schedule, arrange and facilitate regular project meetings.

Ability:

For this position we require candidates that are self-starters, pro-active and have creative problem solving skills with a sense of design. Excellent bilingual communication skills (Advanced Japanese and Business English) are a must. Computer literacy especially in Excel, Microsoft Project is required. Knowledge of CAD programmes such as AutoCad and Vectorworks a plus. We are looking for flexible, serious persons with a friendly character. A sense of humour is a big plus.
