Interac, Japan's largest private provider of ALTs, is seeking applications from native English speakers for junior high school ALT positions in Fukuoka Prefecture. These positions start from October 2012 and go through to March 2013.
ALTs are the face of the global community and have an important role in helping and supporting students to broaden their horizons and develop international understanding. ALTs are also role models in the wider school community.
★ Must be a native-level speaker of English
★ Must have a conversational level of Japanese
★ Must have at least one year of experience teaching English in an elementary, junior high or high school environment
★ Must have graduated from a university with at least a bachelor's degree
★ Must be professional and mature in all aspects of behavior
★ Must have a valid Japanese work visa
Interac has a comprehensive initial and ongoing training programme to support and develop all ALTs.
Assignments can be scheduled between 08:00 and 18:00, Monday through Friday, although in this position assignments are usually scheduled between 08:25 and 16:15, Monday through Friday.
The salary is 230,000 Japanese Yen per calendar month for this full-time position.
