The Kurashiki Municipal Board of Education is seeking qualified, experienced native English teachers for employment in the Native English Teacher (NET) Program. Employees of the NET Program are responsible for team-teaching in public elementary, junior, and senior high schools throughout the city. Duties include planning and teaching lessons with Japanese teachers, producing materials and activities to be used in classes, and attending workshops and monthly meetings at the Board of Education.
The Kurashiki Municipal Board of Education employs Native English Teachers directly; all application processing, interviews, orientation and training, and management are performed in-house. Applicants must enjoy working with children and young people, possess a university degree, and have lived in Japan for more than 1 year (or have lived in Japan for more than one year previously) as of the date of application. Selected applicants must be able to interview in person.
