ALT for April 2012 - Katori, Chiba （期限切れ）

Heart English School is seeking candidates for ALT positions in Katori, Chiba (next to Narita) from April 2012. Positions are in elementary and junior high schools.

The work involves the education and internationalization of Japanese young people in their own environment. ALTs teach during classtime, but also eat with students at lunch, play with them during recess or during sports practice, and in general socialize with the children to give them the chance to use English naturally with a native speaker. The work is very rewarding and the chance to impact hundreds of lives is there, with the many joys and responsibilities that go along with it.

Requirements:

-Native English Speaking ability
-Driving ability
-Valid working visa or ability to be sponsored (BA/BS degree or higher)
-Real enjoyment in working with children and impacting them positively
-Some Japanese language ability

Heart English School can assist if necessary with:

-Full training and orientation
-Finding accomodation
-Arranging a rental car
-Visa sponsorship

Depending on the position, normal work months pay between 205,000 and 215,000 yen, with a 100,000 yen stipend provided for August holiday. It is not yet decided, but if April begins late in the month or March finishes early, those months may be paid on a per-day basis. In general there are fewer required working days as compared to most ALT positions, and of course compared to 240-workday/year full time positions!
