We are currently hiring online English teachers (home-based) to teach English through Skype and our special software. Candidates must have ESL teaching experience, have a bright personality, be punctual and responsible, have business experience and are able to work AT LEAST 20 hours a week from their home. We offer flexible working hours and a 1,800 - 2,100 JPY hourly wage. Bonuses are also available in accordance with our rules.

[Details:]
E-com is an online language school based in the international city of Tokyo, Japan. We operate by gathering young, powerful talent, including our CEO. We're currently seeking highly skilled and motivated professionals for the position of Online Native English Teacher (home-based), teaching English through Skype and our special software. Although we operate under the education industry, we try to avoid becoming too academic and focus on the practical aspects of education. Therefore, university researchers and scholarly academics tend not to fit in with our school. We focus more on business experience and actual teaching ability rather than education history and certifications in the selection process.

With our school, you can teach students one on one from the comfort of your own home using a web-cam and mike. Furthermore, we have English speaking staff standing by during lessons to offer support to teachers if they have any questions or concerns; an interactive, highly developed web community that allows you to check and update your schedule, check student information and interact with other teachers, staff and students; and finally, a variety of textbooks and teaching materials to enhance the quality of your lessons. In addition, we have a 3 month evaluation where our students let you know what they think, providing useful feedback to improve the quality of your lessons and teaching. All our existing teachers are also highly trained, professional and highly skilled.

It's no surprise that by working for E-com, your skills as a teacher will also improve through working and interacting with our materials, students, staff and fellow teachers. Working with us can be a valuable experience for your career.

[Working Hours]
Negotiable (Preferably weekend (whole day), weekday nights (until 23:00 or 24:00 Japanese time) and mornings (6:00am start JPT))
(because most of our students are business people)
However, please note that we are looking for individuals who will keep to their set schedules once it has been decided. You may choose which hours you would like to work, but once you've chosen them, we expect you to keep that schedule for an extended period of time.

Compensation:
[Pay rate]
-1,800- 2,100/hour, decided every 3 months, through evaluation.

[Attendance award]
Aside from above payment, can be given to stable teachers once a year, according to the rules.
