Our teachers lead dynamic adult/child interactive play, music and art classes that build children’s cognitive, social and physical skills. Designed by child development experts, each of our class levels focus on and support the specific developmental milestones children are working on at their age.Teachers will also be required to lead weekend birthday parties.

We offer a challenging and fulfilling work environment. Employees split their time between teaching and administrative/customer service work. Positions start from 4 days a week and on average 6-8 hours a day (excluding lunch). The typical workday begins from 9:30am and ends around 6:30pm.

We are currently looking for someone who:
- is confident singing and performing in front of children and parents
- has a playful and energetic personality and teaching style
- is willing to get involved in the non-teaching aspects of the position (admin, cleaning, marketing, etc.)
- is comfortable answering the phone and speaking with customers in Japanese

We provide excellent paid training (1,500 yen/hour + transportation), support, and motivation to help you grow and succeed. Employees are thoroughly trained in the Gymboree Method of Teaching, operation of our facilities, and child development. This training requires a commitment to learn and grow, and is a long term proposition.

We are currently hiring for both of our Tokyo locations:
Motoazabu, Minato-ku Tokyo (8 minute walk from Hibiya Line, Hiroo Station)
Jiyugaoka, Meguro-ku, Tokyo (4 minute walk from Tokyu Toyoko Line, Oimachi Line Jiyugaoka Station)

Our current available work shift is for 4-5 full days a week including Saturday and Sunday.-* There is flexibility in the assigning of work schedules for those with other existing commitments. However, consistency in working assigned shifts is essential.

At Gymboree, employees are paid not only for their teaching hours but for their admin (class prep, cleaning, and customer service, etc.) hours as well. (Hourly wages for classes start at 2,500 yen and hourly wages for admin start at 1,500 yen.) In addition to their regular hourly wages, employees will receive transportation fees (of up to 2,000 yen/day) and 2 seasonal bonuses (based on our corporate earnings situation).

We offer multiple opportunities for advancement (increased hours, days, and hourly wages) to employees who are successful in their positions and show their commitment to our company. A sample monthly salary for an employee who has been working with us for 3 years and works 36 hours a week is 320,000 yen.
