Full-Time English or Immersion Teacher at Esteemed Girls' school(2023-2024) (expired)

Iware Co., Ltd (株式会社 アイウエア) is looking for experienced, skilled, and certified English teachers to join our team for the 2023-24 school year.

The teachers will be assigned to an esteemed private co-ed junior and senior school in Tokyo Setagaya ward which will be converted from a girls' school in 2023. You will be given an opportunity to teach any of the following subjects; English (Intermediate class or Advanced class) or mathematics or social studies. Please kindly describe the subject you would like to teach in your cover letter. If your performance is good, there's a possibility that you will be in direct employment in 2024-2025.

The private school requires top-notch English teachers with relative experience, skills,
certification, and a good personality. The teacher's ability will not solely be judged by
what is on the resume; other evaluated criteria are teaching methods, student
motivation techniques, creating an environment conducive to student learning
(teacher's personality, class layout, etc.), and so on.

[Teaching style] Team or solo *In the case of a team, you will lead the classes.
[Number of students per class] 30 students/class
[Number of classes] around 4~10 classes/ week
[Requested schedule by client] 5 days /week
[Contract type] Dispatch contract *If your performance is good, there's a possibility that you will be in direct employment in 2024-2025.
[Salary] 300,000~330,000 JPY /per month+ transportation fee
*It would be the same amount even in summer and winter vacation
*The salary will be negotiable and decided depending on the skills, experiences, and type of the position

1) To prepare for classes
2) To produce supplementary materials
3) To create exams and assessments.　
4) Others (staff meetings, English club instruction, supplementary classes, Homeroom duties)

*A graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree and/or higher, and who has one of the following
*Applicants need to be already in Japan and can relocate to the Kanto area

◆Intermediate English class
a) TEFL/TESL/TESOL certification or an alternative one for a teaching license or certification.
b) Teaching experience in an EFL/ESL classroom

◆Advanced English class
a) Teaching experience in English, language arts, or a teaching certificate or credential (middle school/high school).
b) Ability to teach listening, reading, speaking, and writing with evidence from critically analyzing literature, Poetries, Short Stories, etc.

◆Mathematics and English class
a) Teaching experience in mathematics in a classroom setting or a teaching certification or credential (middle/high school).
b) Teaching experience in an EFL/ESL classroom or an alternative one for a teaching certificate, credential, or certification.

◆Social studies class and English class
a) Teaching experience in social studies in a classroom setting or a teaching certification or credential (middle school/high school).
b) Teaching experience in an EFL/ESL classroom or an alternative one for a teaching certificate, credential, or certification.

[Preferable]
1) Teaching license in foreign countries
2) Teaching experience of more than 10 years in Japan
3) Flexibility and good communication and interpersonal skills are preferred.
4) High-level Japanese proficiency
