We are recruiting native English speaking English teachers with experience teaching kinder, elementary and junior high school age children.

PlayEng Village English school is newly opened on Dec. 1st, 2020 and is a small sized school located very close to Hamura station (about 5 minutes walking) in Hamura city.
We have three classrooms, and each classroom has a capacity of up to six students (with current precautions taken during corona virus). We teach English, mostly focusing on English conversation and phonics. We also teach preparation for English examinations such as Eiken and TOEFL. The students’ ages range from preschool to 15th grade at this point; however, we are aiming to teach English to adults in the near future. We also would like to offer a class for preparation for students wanting to study overseas to enter language schools, college or university. Our staff is very team-oriented and friendly and takes a keen interest in finding ways to grow together.

Teaching English conversation and phonics, preparing lesson materials and planning, classroom management, writing reports of the lessons and the students, to help plan seasonal events such as Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas (we also have seasonal classes during the spring and summer breaks).

-Salary:
Full-time: 200,000 to 250,000/month(depends on skills and performance)
part-time: 1,300 to 2,000/hr (depends on skills and performance).
*Commuting subsidy up to 20,000 yen/month

=Ideal Candidate=

-Currently live in Tokyo close to Hamura and have a valid visa (or have SOFA status).
-English native speaker and experience with teaching.
-Good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
-Have a positive attitude and passion for teaching English to children.
-Creative in finding new ways to teach English to children.
-Flexible ideas to deal with children.
-Can cooperate and help other teachers and staff.
-Has a sense of responsibility.
-Attend meetings, events, other activities, when required.

=Working Hours=
Full-time
Tuesday-Saturday 9:00 to 18:00 or 13:00 to 21:00( depends on class schedule)

part-time
Tuesday-Friday 14:00 to 21:00 (at least twice a week, and hours can be negotiated).
Saturday 9:30 to 17:30 (full day, age of 1st grade to 6th grade)

Trial period (1 to 2 month)
part-time hour applied (depends on class schedule )

Holiday
Sunday, Monday, national holidays, summer and New Year holiday. Other school closure dates.

Working address and access
Gonokami, Hamura City, Tokyo
Access: 5 minutes by walking from the East exit of JR Hamura station.
