International Preschool/Primary Teacher (expired)

International School of English, founded in 2013, is a small family run International Preschool and Language school based in Okayama in the west of Japan. We are also the authorized Cambridge Assessment English Centre (JP176) for the west of Japan and we run English exams and teacher training courses. Okayama is in the heart of the Chugoku area of Japan and is 50 minutes from Osaka and 35 minutes from Hiroshima. It's a great location!

We are looking for a teacher to join a wonderful team of teachers who take a lot of pride in what they do and work towards the opening of our new school. We have recently secured a fully funded status and will be building a new purpose-built school to open in March 2020.

We are looking for people that are courteous, respectable, responsible, outgoing, flexible and friendly to work at our International Preschool. The children are both Japanese and international, coming from various backgrounds. It is a full English immersion school.

You should be experienced with EYFS and able to demonstrate awareness of the changing needs of young learners in both small and mid-sized classrooms, as well as developing the abilities of each individual student. We are looking for people who are great team players and who can also show off their own talents and creativity. Being able to set a positive and engaging atmosphere in the classroom is very important.

Experience teaching Cambridge YLE and Schools, Cambridge Primary Science and Maths an advantage.
