Public School ALT - Fuchu Town, Hiroshima（期限切れ）

ALTIA CENTRAL is now looking for 2 great new people to fill a new contract in Fuchu Town, Hiroshima Prefecture. Fuchu is a small suburb located right next to Hiroshima City, a prime location which can be accessed easily by train or bus from the city. One of these position is a mixed junior high and elementary school spot while the other is a full time elementary position which would be better served by a driver. We will of course supply a company vehicle if necessary and reimburse public transportation expenses.

ALTIA CENTRAL will be conducting weekday interviews on an ongoing basis at our offices in Nagoya and Osaka, as well as making several weekend recruiting trips to Shizuoka, Tokyo, Okayama and Hiroshima as necessary to meet local applicants. We are also interviewing overseas in about a dozen cities in the US, UK and Australia for these June-starting openings as well as for September, so we are looking for as many great applicants as possible.

Our ideal applicant is a native English speaker with a bachelor's degree (or higher) who is flexible, culturally sensitive, and motivated to go the extra mile to provide a positive experience for students.

We would also prefer applicants who have previously spent some time studying or working in Japan, and as many ALT positions do require driving, we prefer people who can or would be able to drive in Japan.

ALTs work in public schools assisting Japanese teachers, helping to provide enjoyable and energetic lessons, and interacting with the students both inside and outside the classroom. Working as an ALT is a great opportunity to improve your Japanese language ability through cooperation with Japanese staff, to experience and appreciate cultural differences, and most importantly, to be positively involved with the development and well-being of young children.
