Public School ALT - Kobe City, Hyogo (expired)

ALTIA CENTRAL is still accepting applications to join our team of ALTs in one final short-term, 3-month-long position in Kobe City from May 2019 through to the end of July.

Kobe City is a great location with much prominence in the Kansai area, and this position is a non-driving, mixed position at just 1 junior high school and one elementary school. If you are looking to stay in Japan a little longer in one of Kansai's great cities, then this position might be perfect for you.

ALTIA CENTRAL will be conducting weekday interviews on an ongoing basis at our head office in Nagoya and our Kansai office in Osaka, as well as making several more trips to Hiroshima and Okayama cities to fill these and other positions, so we are looking for as many great applicants as possible.

Our ideal applicant is a native English speaker with a bachelor's degree (or higher) who is flexible, culturally sensitive, and motivated to go the extra mile to provide a positive experience for students.

ALTs work in public schools assisting Japanese teachers, helping to provide enjoyable and energetic lessons, and interacting with the students both inside and outside the classroom. Working as an ALT is a great opportunity to improve your Japanese language ability through cooperation with Japanese staff, to experience and appreciate cultural differences, and most importantly, to be positively involved with the development and well-being of young children.

ALTIA CENTRAL enjoys an excellent reputation, positive relationships with Boards of Education, and is respected by the English teaching community in Japan. We operate mostly in the Chubu area, especially Aichi, Gifu, Mie, and Shizuoka prefectures, areas further west such as Shiga, Okayama, and Hiroshima, along with a number of contracts in the Kansai area as well.
